In 2019, he traveled to the United States to attend Putnam Science Academy in Connecticut. He was rated a three-star talent by 247Sports and originally committed to Texas Tech.

He was interested in basketball as well but did not pursue it seriously until he was 15 years old. He chose Texas Tech because he wanted to play for head coach Chris Beard. Goldin’s stint at Texas Tech, however, did not go as planned. He played in just 10 games as a true freshman, averaging 1.9 points and 1.0 rebounds per game. Vladislav struggled to adjust to Texas culture and language and missed Russia.

When coach Beard left Texas Tech for Texas, Goldin used the transfer portal to look for a new opportunity. He discovered it while working at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) with coach Dusty May and old Putnam Science Academy colleague Bryan Greenlee.

He rapidly established himself as a valuable member of the Owls’ lineup. Goldin also assisted FAU in making NCAA tournament history as the first No. 15 seed to reach the Final Four. Goldin has emerged as one of the most intriguing talents in college basketball due to his height, mobility, talent, and promise.
