Porretta was the protagonist of the psychological thriller video game Alan Wake, which Remedy Entertainment released in 2010. Remedy’s control also featured Dr. Casper Darling.
Gleice was his wife from 2012 to 2014. Matthew and Gleice are parents to two sons, Luigi (May 22,2001) and Enzo (1 April 13, 2008). They split in 2014 after the couple had a divorce.
Porretta was quick to get involved in the entertainment industry. Porretta was already a veteran of Broadway by the time he turned 25, and a student of the Manhattan School of Music. Porretta made his television debut in 1990 with regular roles on shows such as Wings, Beverly Hills, 90210 and Beverly Hills. He was cast as Will Scarlet O’Hara in Mel Brooks’ comedy Robin Hood: Men in Tights in 1993, his first movie role. Four years later, Porretta played the role of Robin Hood on his own television series. He has appeared in numerous independent films and commercials for McDonald’s, Arrowhead Water and other companies since 1997. He was part of the original Broadway cast for Stephen Sondheim’s Passion and James Lapine’s Passion in 1994.
