Francisco Guillermo Ochoa Magana (Spanish pronunciation”gi’jermo” o’tSo.a]; born 13 July 1985) is commonly called Memo or Memo, is a Mexican professional soccer player who plays the role of goalkeeper with Liga MX club America and the Mexico national team.
Ochoa was a professional at the senior level when he made his debut with Club America in 2004 in the Mexican league game against Monterrey. He took his first league championship in 2005 and was the first choice of the club’s goalkeeper until the year 2011, playing over 200 games for America. In the summer of 2011, Ochoa was moved from Ajaccio located in France. He stayed for three seasons at Ajaccio before they were eliminated out of Ligue 1. After 2014, Ochoa joined Malaga but did not make it into the team. In July of 2016 the player joined Granada on an all-season loan. In July 2017 he was signed by Standard Liege.
On 14 December 2005, at age 20, Ochoa made his debut for the Mexico national team in a friendly match against Hungary, which Mexico won 2–0. Ochoa was called-up by coach Ricardo La Volpe for the 2006 FIFA World Cup as the third-choice goalkeeper.

On May 13, Ochoa broke the record for the most goals conceded during one La Liga season when he admitted his 79th and 79th goals in a defeat to Osasuna. The record, established by Salamanca goalkeeper Ignacio Aizpurua in 1995-96, was previously the record of 78 goals in a single season. But, Ochoa was also the goalkeeper who made the most saves in all five top leagues of Europe by 162. After the World Cup, newly appointed manager Hugo Sánchez called Ochoa into the national side as a deputy to Mexico’s then-number one, Oswaldo Sánchez.
